Hey Everyone,

Had a question regarding my 70'malibu! The car currently has a semi dented/messed up hood and I wanted to replace it! I was interested in getting a cowl hood for the car! My questions are these...

- I want to keep the car... semi orginal! Did the malibu's come with cowl hoods?

- What would be the pluses and minus from switching the stock to a working cowl?

Money isn't the biggest issue and the engine is a 454BB.

Only SS could be ordered with cowl induction. Can be done tho. Parts suppliers usually will list all the parts needed to make it operate in their catalogues.

4speed, i think he means since the cowl hood is a bit heavier, probably causes the cars drag coefficient to go up, etc.

Cx1, I don't think it'll harm your mileage very much man. I dont think Chevelles are aerodynamic to begin with, and the weight difference is probably not enough to make a difference. and if you go with a fiberglass hood, it'll be lighter than the original.
