I just bought a 65 convert builder.
I need to know if the front windshield stainless reveal moldings are the same for the 64-65 2 dr hdtp and convert.
Are they the same as the 66-67 hdtps also ? I know where several sets are.

Are the outer body covers on either side of the pillar that are screwed down at the bottom with two phillips head screws the same on hdtps and converts ? I'll need those and I have a chance to get some off a hdtp.

Any other windshields that will interchange with the 64-65 converts ? Other than a 64-65 A-body convert ? Is the winshield even different than a hdtp ? shorter ?

All the windsheild parts including the glass are the same 64-65 with ALL "A" bodys. A Pontiac Tempest four doors windshield, mouldings, piller covers, etc. are the same as a Chevelle Convertible. On the post covers, I have a little tiny bit of something nawing in the back of my head that says I won't put my hand on the bible in a court of law and say that it is the same, so double check. All I know is, if it is a little different it would be at the top under the chrome cap where you could modify it anywhy. But as I remember I was curious about that myself and found them to be the same.

You've confirmed what I was thinking, but the fact I was not aware of, is that the 4 door ?? windshield is the same as a conv ?
If this is true, then wouldn't any 64-65 GM A-body 4 door sedan or 4 dr hdtp windshield be the same as a 64-5 A-body conv ? Or is it just the Pontiac as you stated ?
I currently have access to these Chevelles:
2-65 4 doors
1-65 SS
2-65 Malibu 2 doors
and several 64's along with a 64 GTO

I'd like to get what I need while the gettin's good !

ALL '64-65 "A" bodies use the same windshield Chevy, Pontiac, Olds, Buick, all of them. For that matter, ALL the windows are the same if it is a similar model of course. A 2Dr HT Chevy Chevelle will share ALL the glass with a '65 Buick Skylark 2dr HT as well as the other "A" body 2dr HT's. smile.gif ALL the glass on a conv is different EXCEPT the windshield from it's roofed brothers and sisters. But ALL conv's share the same side windows. smile.gif
