i am starting on a 68 chevelle convert. having frame off sand and media blasted .can anyone tell me what is the best under paint for frame , floors etc. , that is not too high. like everyone else on a tight budget .will take any and all help . i am wanting to keep it gm colors pretty close, not going all original. wanting to drive the car before i am dead. ha! ha !

my body shop guy loves POR15 and that's what i did my frame, floors, etc... in. and i have to say, it seems like a very durable finish. cost is about $30 a quart, but 2 quarts will do the entire car, in and out, with some left over. if you go this route, which many do, be sure and do the semi-gloss if you want a more stock type of look.
