Did Yenko ever install Z-28 302's in Chevelle's?

I have never heard of any myself, but we all learn in time that anything was possible.

After the Covairs, Yenko did big blocks untill 70 when he did LT-1 Novas..Im sure he took out some 302's and replaced them with L-72's but not the other way around.

I doubt it. 302s are a dog of a motor for the street even in a Z28. In race trim they are a snappy little deal but IMO they would not move a heavy Chevelle very well.
