I have read several posts that have used hot glue to secure the headiner to the metal rails. Any ideas on this?

Is this a 3m product? Where to get it?
What's the spray pattern like, i.e. controlled overspray?

Just did the headliner this winter. I used the 3M product, the good stuff not the cheaper one, worked great. I sprayed it in a can, then took a little paint brush and painted the area of the headliner and metal glue strips, two or 3 coats, then attached and held it there with those little metal paper clips, about 40 cents each.

First I put the headliner in place and held it there with metal clips all around the perimeter. After everything was perfect, then I heated the headliner with a hair dryer to get all the wrinkels out. Then I removed some of the clips and glued that area, first the front, then the rear, then the sides. Good luck
