Is the vin number on the frame of a 72 chevelle? if so where is it located?
Also, is it any where on the body other than the tag by the windshield? I have my chevelle in the midst of a frame off restoration and I wanted to know if there is any way to prove nothing has been switched. The guy doing the work has a lot of other chevelles in various states of disrepair on premises and mine came fom southwest with no rust and I want to make sure he doesn't switch anything with other cars he may have.

my 72 vin # was on the inner door.....when you open the door look on backside

do you mean on the door itself or the door jamb on the body?

just be glad your 72 velle windshield frame isn't rusted like mine.....lol
