I'm replacing the lense on the heater control on my 69. Is there a way to remove the knobs without killing them? Thanks in advance, Mike

I took a pair of vice grips and a piece of heavy fabric. Clamp down hard but don't crush them. Wiggle back and forth as you pull and they should come off. After I removed mine I cleaned them well with OOPS to remove the years of finger goo. They go back on well.
