does anyone know the correct paint for the metal plate directly under the shift indicator lens on a 70 auto console? it looks almost gloss black but the underside looks flat black so i don't know if it has been repainted. also i got a repo replacement indicator lens from opgi with the green letters/numbers to replace the white one, however the type face is larger on the repo. is this correct? did they go with a smaller type face(font) for 71/72? or is there a better lens out there?

I used a flat black powder coat to make sure there was no chance of rust. It should be a low gloss finish.

Many of the repro lenses sold have an obviously incorrect font.....something that should be so easy to reproduce :sad: Several years ago I bought one from GU and sent it back to them because it was one of the obviously incorrect ones :( . Wound up getting one from Year One that was dead-on original :thumbsup:
