Hey all!! I took off my valve covers off my 396 tonight to adjust valves and I found some plastic pieces inside the valve covers on the left side. I have Comp Cams valve springs. I think the pieces are part of a seal but I have never replaced BBC valve seals. Is the umberella type seal made of plastic? Would anyone have pics of what a complete BBC seal looks like? I have replaced SBC seals so I sorta know what is what but in looking at the Haynes manual, there are more pieces to the BBC seal. Thanks!
