I am in the process of stripping the fire wall on my 67 Chevelle SS. I would like to know how to strip the sealer that is on the seam on the fire wall??? I would also like to know when it is srtipped and cleaned, how do you replace that "goop" on that seam? Anyone know what I'm talking about????

Freddy a wire brush connected to a drill will remove that caulk in a heart beat, specially if its dry and bittle. Another neat little tool I use to remove that caulk is a dentist tool, the one that has different curved ends.
Since you are stripping the whole firewall you will need to over that bare metal with some type of primer. Once the primer is dry and ready for that coat of paint then you apply the caulk. You apply it before you paint the firewall, you can get it at any paint supply house called seam sealer or drip rail sealer it goes under many different names but the counter guy will be able to get you what you need.
A nice little trick to get the sealer smooth is after you get done appling it spit on a finger and gently smooth out any ripples in the sealer. Keep your finger wet other wise the sealer will stick and make a mess.

An alternative to abrasion is a heat gun and scraper. It peels right off in large chunks. Mineral spirits cleans off the remaining residue...
