Anybody ever use Kore3?

I was researching brake kits, and now that I decided to keep the "stock" spindles, I had it pretty much narrowed down...

Kore3, "complete" from and rear C5 Vetter brakes (no Parking brake and no mastercylinder)... There are working on a rear internal drum Parking brake setup...

Brackets, hardware, hoses (4), NEW PBR "C5" calipers (black anodized, no "Corvette" script, front and rear), front hub mods/turning and bearings, pads, cross-drilled and slotted C5 rotors (12.8 front, 12.0 rear)... All I need to do is get a master cylinder and possibly tweak some of the hardlines a bit (mainly the rear)...

~$1250 (including estimated shipping), front and rear...

Sounds like a great price, and as long as my new wheels will fit (Vintage V40, template dimensions indicate they should clear), or any real negative feedback, I might be getting these in the next month or so...

Any comments or experience???

I'm planning on similar upgrade, but using Touring Classic's hybrid package. C5 calipers w/ C4 rotors. These will fit far more wheels. Unless I'm missing something, their kits are a far better price - $800, including all above plus it includes the mc.

They have the same kit and price with all C5 components. Add $50 if you really want the drilled/slotted rotors.

I think you did miss something... Touring Classics is my second choice... Touring Classics is a little MORE money... The $800 you quote (or $850 with slotted a drilled rotors, is for the FRONT only (or the rear only!!!)! And doesn't include shipping (At least I am assuming). I think the Touring Classics "rear" sets use the 97 and earlier "in-caliper" Parking brake assembly.

The $1250 I was quoted (from Kore3) is for the Front AND Rear, with drilled and slotted GM-brand rotors, GM pads (OE Vette, Ceramic?) and new PBR calipers and shipping... And the $1250 also includes the hub machining and new wheel bearings/seals (I know TC does the hub turning, but not sure if the bearings are included)... I was told that this kit has everything i need to convert, except the master cylinder (I already had an adjustible proportioning valve), with just some tweaking/mods to the rear hardlines...

TC's kit includes the master cylinder and manual pushrod, and "PBR" pads... It doesn't appear that anything more is included...

Kore is working on an "internal drum" parking brake setup, which interests me...

IF the templates do not fit my wheels, then I will likely go with the TC Hybrid kit as well... But looking at the brake templates, and comparing the wheel dimensions for my wheel choice (as listed on the wheel company's website), they should fit... I think Kore templates placed the distance from wheel mounting plane to outside of caliper at 0.780" (~0.720" without the "Corvette" script on the caliper)... Vintage Wheel Works says the V40's (my choice) have 7/8" (0.875") front the mounting surface to the back of the spokes (Rusty at Vintage measured some wheels, and said about 0.855... That's 0.135+ clearance, over 1/8"... Might be tight, but I am assuming IF they say they have that much clearance, then it should be at least that much... But I will double check before ordering anything...

I plan on getting a parts-store master cylinder (67-76 Vette manual, 1" bore, and maybe a "rebuild") and seeing how that works... If the 1" bore works well, I plan on upgrading to the new Wilwood Master cylinder (260-5555-P?)...

I had prevously decided to go with the TC Hybrid and then use "stock '98-'02 F-Body rear pieces, which are about the same as the other swaps...

The other thing I did NOT like about TC (based only on pictures), is their name is imprinted on the calipers... No big deal, but I like the cleaner simpler look of plain (but black anodized) calipers...

TC, $850 (front) + $750 (rear) + shipping ($90, assumed same as Kore3) +$60 (bearings and seals) = $1750 (but it does have parking brake cables and assembly, which will cost me more in the future)... Kore indicated probably (initially) $200-$250 increase for the the parkling brake assembly...

$1750 versus $1260...
