Hi Guys. I am wanting to attached the cable for my hood pin assembly to the front end of my 70 Chevelle. When I bought the car, the cable was placed under a bolt on top of the radiator support. I bought a new exact reproduction of the original cables, pins, ect. The one thing that is different from my old set up is that there is a plastic mount with screws to attach the cable.
Can anyone please tell me the exact location where this plastic mount is to be placed.

i also would like this info, i sent away for a new "correct" hood pin kit and i can see it has the screws curtis was talkin bout.

They actually screw into the filler panel. I don't have the exact dimensions with me though.

Are these repro's all stainless steel or chrome plated.. the original ones were stainless.. some of the repro's are plated and will rust. Just be aware when buying "original" style items.
