i was checking prices and the only ones i could find were $130 at the cheapest not to mention they were pneumatic.i dont have that knid of money to spend on a tool and even if i did i dont have an air system to run it.do they make electric ones, not battery powered batteries suck, that i might have overlooked?

i really need something that runs on electricity. i dont have a compressor and battery powered crap sucks, 5 minutes and its dead if it makes it that long.

i've had a lot of luck with a 3/4 electric sander.it is a porter-cable brand but others make them a lot cheaper.i've used it to sand my hood and trunk lid as well as some fiberglass filler and polyester filler putty on repair areas.it won't do great at finishing but it saves a helluva lotta elbow grease during the first stages of body work!the 3/4 sander is a little longer than the regular electric sanders and it seems to help with keeping the body filler level with the surrounding surface area.(more so than a standard sized sander.)hope this helps!
