i would like to know if this could be done and if anyone has done it before?

Yes, it can be done. I've got a powdercoater from www.columbiacoatings.com (http://www.columbiacoatings.com) http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I've done my fair share of powdercoating, but just to make sure you know, don't bake in a gas oven!!

Bead blast those babies, shoot 'em and cook them at 400 degrees for 20 minutes http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I didnt shoot them my self, but the brackets on my 67 are powder coated

I had all of my brackets powder coated, but far and away the best thing that I did was to have the inner fenders done. Cost $45 each and so easy to maintain and looks great! Had my battery tray done too, resists acid leaks.

You get more bang for the buck if you use POR-15. It looks just like powder coating and you do it yourself. It will be as durable as p/c also. My opinion... of course.
