Well just brought home my new 69 and wouldn't you know, I now notice some uneven spots running in a vertical direction down the sides of the car. This is not a bondo buggy by any means, perhaps the primer shrunk or it just wasn't blocked well enough? It was sprayed by a previous owner and look great otherwise - it was done in urethane.

Can I wetsand to try and remove the high spots ? Or am I stuck having to repaint ? I really don't have the bucks to send it to the body shop, so any low buck recommendations would help a lot.

You cannot sand enough on paint to remove any visible flaw in the bodywork. There simply is not enough material.

No experts here by any means, however, it may be the way (Direction) it was sanded.
