I'm considering a 1989 4L60 trans for my 65. I haven't seen the tranny on the ground yet, but something tells me in those years all GM trucks had electronic speedometers. If there is no speedo cable port on the tranny, how do I overcome this dilema?

You can buy a conversion for the electronic speedo. www.jagsthatrun.com (http://www.jagsthatrun.com) has an adapter for the 700r4, You might ask them if it works for the 4L60. And if they have the adapter, others will too. Did a quick search, at least some of what you need is here: https://shell7.tdl.com/~jags/4L60_Order.html
