There is a hood on eBay and not sure what the seller is trying to say. Something about the LS6 and LS5 Cowl Induction hood is different than one on a 396\402 or 350? Can someone enlighten me on this. I thought they all were the same.

Sounds like this guy just wants to make a sale to some 'joe' that dosen't know alot about chevelles other than he wants his car to be "correct" I'd have to look at my hood, but to me it looks like someone just cut the supports out with a saw or something. 70-72 hoods are the same, you either got an SS without the Cowl Induction option from the factory, or you ordred the Option. And that's all it was is an Option just like power windows were an Option.
Oh yeah, also notice his other auctions and his "LS6 Seatbelt Holders" Can't be a correct LS6 without those puppies lol

Sure glad it came off a 22,000 mile car. Only problem is, it sat in a wrecking yard for the next 30 years.
This is a minor cosmetic difference between early 70 SS Cowl Induction hoods and mid-late 70-72 Cowl induction hoods. In fact, I am selling (sold) one too. I don't think mine has the extra metal, but I'll check tonight.
