As message says - the box got wet and I lost markings

Which ring is likely to be top ring?? - in a set where one set of the rings is marked with a dot and has a beveled inner side and the other set of rings is not marked by any dot and seems square all around

More than likely, the ring with the dot is the second ring and is installed with the dot towards the top of the piston. The square ring is probably the top one. If it is a Moly ring set, the top one will also look "shiny" on the surface that rubs the cylinder, compared to the second ring.

I am pretty sure you are right because it corresponds (as far as the bevelled ring with dot ) to Summit's moly ring setup - which I also have a complete set for

in this set, the bevelled ring with dot (more like a punch) is second ring and the top ring is a scribed dot outline and does not seem to have any bevel edge to it

In the moly set - all the dots face up to top of piston

Summit says they will mail me instructions - I really dont think I am going to wait on that - becauase if I recall these are generic instructions - its the box indications inside the flap cover that tells you which set is which set

I will go with the idea I had - which is similar to what you are thinking
