Does anyone have a good idea for testing to see where air is leaking past my weatherstripping on the doors and ventwing on my 1972 El Camino. I can hear wind noise but it is hard to detect where it is leaking exactly. The weatherstripping is new on both areas, but in need a test to see if the rubber is sealing correctly...should I use chalk or something or is there a way to blow smoke, such as a bee keepers smoker, to see where the air is leaking...
Any help is appreciated....
Thanks 7T2SS

Take a piece of paper and close the door on the paper. You should be able to pull the paper through although with a lot of resitsance if it pulls really easily through then you know where your bad spot it. The narrower the piece of paper the easier it will be to pinpoint the problem. You can use a lil blob of weatherstrip adhesive on the backside of the weatherstrip to build it up to make the fit better.
