: Rubber Bumpers Under Windshield?

I've removed the windshield and rear glass from my 64 Malibu SS, and noticed there are several small rubber bumpers. Some of these are missing and I need to get new ones.

They are approximately 1/2 to 3/4" long and fit in a slot in the body along the area where the glass mounts.

I don't know what they are called or where I can get them.

Any help appreciated!!

They usually come with the buytle (sp) tape roll you use to install the windshield. You set them on the bottom and sides to keep the window from sagging down and contacting the body. Not rocket science, you can make your own if you have to.

Those bumpers come w/ the 3M "Windo-Weld Ribbon Sealer" #08611 for the 5/16 size, which is the correct thickness for fitting the trim back on. This also was the same method GM used back then.

Also, since we're on the subject, which way do the bumpers face? because there is a little opening in the middle on one side. I think the opening has to face down for the water to drain out, Is this right? Sorry to steal the post. Eric

I was looking in the body manual and the slots on the bumpers are shown to be facing down. I guess it's like you said....water drainage.
