Hi all,
Just got a set of seat covers from The Paddock. To my surprise when I began disassembly I found that there was a set of covers over the originals. I removed the old covers exposing the originals. They need replacement. My question, What do you think the chances are of putting the new ones over the old ones? Also do the new ones fasten in the same locations as the originals? I put a new one on and it seems short in areas. Thanks

Some aftermarket covers are made to go over the existing covers, and they are made large enough to allow that. If you try that with OEM-style repro covers, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up a bit short. You have obviously tried one on, so you already know the answer. ;)

The new covers should be attached just like the old ones. If you do the seats one at a time, you'll have one as a reference while working on the other one. It can be difficult to stretch the covers if you don't hog ring them in the right locations, so you need to pay attention to how it's done on the old ones.

Thanks for the reply. I had no problem putting the new ones over the old. A HUGE help was using heavy gauge clothes hanger wires in the areas I was really stretching. A little heat hear and there and I was in business.
