I have a 1972 Chevelle (Malibu, possibly soon an SS Clone). I am looking to replace the hood with a fiberglass hood in order to take some weight off the front. Now, I was wondering ALL kind of hoods are available for a 1972 Chevelle. I have never seen a 72 Chevelle hood with a hood scoop. That is what I was hoping for.

not to sure what is out there for hoods that have the scoop allready molded in. Usualy you have to buy the scoop and have it molded in to the hood.Usualy have them in jegs or summitt Friend of mine is molding a cowl into his 64 impala. they didnt make a cowl hood that he could find. Maybe someone knows better than me though.

unlimited has fiberglass hoods w/ scoops molded in from the ss dome hood to 6" i belive. if you do some searching you can find some fiberglass cowl hoods w/ scoops in.
IMO i think all the hoods that are out there for the velle are boring. i have a L-88 scoop molded on my velle. i wish that more company's made hoods w/ differnt scoops on them, like what they have for s10's and camaros.
