Why do you want "cheap"? You get what you pay for. Cheap isnt going to get you much of an engine from what I read in here. There are pages and pages of complaints caused by bargains.

NO!! Don't do it!

As Rodney D. would say!!

A BB needs forged b/c onna these day's, the dreaded, "more power, Scotty" bug will bite and cast won't hold up!!

I figure stock OEM replacement re-pop's by Speed-Pro and Federal Mogul will do you nicely for a DECENT price if you think wisely about how to put your motor combination together!!!!

Watch the OEM TRW forged flatops as they are goofy. The radius is cut back to lower compression. Damndest thing I ever saw.

Sounds to me like you're looking for a stock, original mfg., type piston. That type piston should be cheaper than $35. Have you checked your local auto parts stores?

Why do you need pistons to sell the motor? Just sell it as a rebuildable shortblock and let the new owner decide what pistons to put iin it.

i priced some speed pro cast there 280 a set ..is there any cheaper pistons out there?? links? thanks I heard a quote once that said "the quality will be remembered long after the cost is forgotten". Get a reasonably priced "forged" piston because cast pistons break real easy and do a lot of damage when they do. If you only drive the vehicle and don't race it they're O.K. but won't live long if you start winding the motor very tight.
