I am thinking about going to UTI... NTI to be exact..
But the thing is...

They sent me the catalogs and everything.. Does anybody have experiance with them?
I've been meaning to call them, but i don't want to sound stupid over the phone..

I mean.. I am Israeli.. Do they accept forigen students?
They seem like they have really good schools, and i really want to go there...

Anybody here went to UTI?

Been there. Yes, it IS possible to do well and begin a good career. There are many pitfalls, and a language barrier could be tough at a tech school. I went the UTI route, graduated number one and went on to Mercedes-Benz Elite. 6 years next month, I am still swinging wrenches on them. This field gets tougher every single day. The B.S. warranty policies and compliance procedures are tough to swallow though.

My english is really good.. I don't really have a language barrier.. And I know everything about car parts in English too.. Some parts i don't even know what they are called in Hebrew... lol :)

But when you were there.. did they have student that are not American?

Lots. Mexican mostly, they brought over a group of puerto ricans who didn't speak english and didn't last long. They were thrown out of the apartments for behaviour issues and then sent home. UTI is a mixed bag, there are all kinds of people there.

Haven't been here for a while, it was a long and cold winter and I neglected both TC and my Chevelle. Interesting to hear that you are want'n to go to the states! Why not! Lots of cool cars and nice people over there. I'd love to join you! ;)
