Hi All - regarding my 64 - the VIN ends 100422 (so 421st car built in Atlanta (assuming they built more than just chevelles - good assumption?)) - the fisher body unit is 67 and the build date is 08E (so fifth week in August) - is there any way to know what number Chevelle SS this car is, as in "this is the 122nd SS built" - were there other plants making the SS in 1964? Are there full year production stats broken out by month to be able to extropolate?

The 100422 refers to total Chevelle production at Atlanta Assembly. It does not pertain to other models they built there or anywhere else. The first Chevelle was 100001, so yours is number 422, an early car.

Yes, many plants were built them in 1964, over 10. No stats on SS like you are looking for, just totals by division and model. I don't have that info handy..
