Yes there finally comes a day that all the hunting for just the right NOS parts .. The body shop that promesis next week we will be full guns on your car... And the rolling chasis that has been ready for months on end to put the body back on ... Well here is my question ? I am doing a 69 coupe L78 NOM ...the car has been pain stakingly detailed
the body color is black so we have paneled the car(panelling means many pcs painted at different times ) so when they hung doors from factory were shimes and bolts painted body color or black oxide also fender bolts and shimes black oxide? and the trunk lid bolts ? how about trunk paint where were the paint lines and over spray? Inside of fenders was a 30% gloss? Final question anyone put a body on fully painted with some secrets of does and don't... anything speacial to know about locating body mounts and other misc.. Thought we would take wheels off and put the car on sweivel dollies?spell check not supported by my version of netscape time to upgrade............

If you want some pics of a frame off black 69 go my site www.mickyhale.com (http://www.mickyhale.com) to the past projects. The doors were painted on the car, strikers and hardware are painted. Trunk bolts are painted also. Ft end bolts are black phos. Trunk paint- there will be some red oxide primer in spots along with body color. make sure you have enough body color inside on the hinge supports and on the latch so you can spray your trunk paint up to it. Email me if you want to see pics of anything. I have a lot of 69 stuff on file.
