I'm looking for a little friendly advise. I'm not very far out from getting my car painted. This is going to be a two-tone paint job. The basic process my painter is going to do is...
The car will be painted assembled since he has to run a split line downt tbe entire car, plus the bottom color isn't a "solid"
The bottom color requires a white sealer coat. So he wants to apply this then paint the "color". Then tape off the the bottom half and spray the the top color. Then clear the car.
Now I want an accent stripe approx 1/4" to 3/8" thick between the two colors. When is the best time to do this? My thought would be after the white sealer you'd tape off the stripe and paint. Then tape off the stripe and paint the main colors. Is this the best way to do this?? I want tbe stripe buried under clear so you don't feel the lines. Or can this be put on after the paint job is done, by taping, sanding and re-clearing..Just curious on what you'd do.
Thanks!!! :D
