I posted over in the body shop area, but no help over there so I'll try this area. I've searched the forum and my assembly manual, but could not find the info I need. I'm looking for a template or the measurement of the location to drill the holes for the Malibu quarter panel nameplate/emblem. The quarters have been replaced so there are not any holes for the Malibu nameplate. I have looked in my assembly front to back and did not see the info listed anywhere. Could someone take some measurements for me, I would appreciate it very much.
The info need is for a 66 Malibu.
Thanks

I have a 66 and could have sworn that info is in the assembly manual. I would post a diagram if I had a scanner. I believe this has been brought up before. Have you tried searching?

I've looked through the assembly manual from front to back severval times and also my Fisher body manual, the info itn't in either one of them. Maybe I just have a lousey assembly manual. If you have a section or page number from the assembly manual, I could see if it's in my manual on the same page.
And I've searched and read ever post on templates, but no placement info.
If someone could just take a ruler and measure from a to b and b to c on the passenger side as in the picture, that would be a big help. At least in would be in the right location, and I could figure out the driver side.
I think someone could make a few bucks selling templates. If they have access to 66 and 67 Malibus and SS. A lot of quarters are replaced and templates are the best way to get the nameplates were they belong. I've seen them placed to high or to low and it was obvious they were not right.
