Howdy fella's...I know it's been a while (once again) since I've posted and hope that everyone is doing really well. I also posted this question over in Bench Racing this morning.
I need some advice and opinions on a new paint scheme I'm considering for the 'Velle. I just had a new ivory vinyl top added last year and since the fiberglass hood didn't turn out to be a 100% true color match, I'm leaning toward a new color scheme for the car altogether.
Ever since I bought the company's avalanche truck over a year ago, I continue to get compliments on its' deep blue color. It's called 'arrival blue' and I'd like to paint the 'Velle the same color, but keep the ivory vinyl top and paint the SStripes a shade of ivory to match the vinyl top. If you go to my website and click 'slide show' and keep hitting 'next', you will see the trucks' color I'm referring to.
My real concern is how will it look with the ivory top still on. All things considered, I'd like to keep the vinyl top if at all possible b/c I've grown to really like the look a top provides. I've never seen a color combo like this before and am wondering if it will even look 'right', or just plain funky. Looking for some candid feedback from my Chevelle bretheran.
PS: If any of you guys might have the time and the Paint Shop Pro program (or some other similar software), do you think you could take some pics from the website and do a fast color change just to see how it would look on a preliminary level? I'm not even sure that the Paint Shop program could even do something like this. TIA as always!
