Looking for body shops near rhe Dallas or Huston, Texas area that work on chevelles. i have a 67 thats got to have major surgery.

Sorry I cannot recommend any particular shops. But, I can tell you what to look for and what to avoid. The first thing you've got to realize is that 90% of the shops out there, especially the big ones, are in business to make money. The majority of that money comes from insurance work. Late model collision to be exact. The 'techs' that work there are familiar with bolting on new parts and panel replacement. Rust repair is a specialized and time consuming ordeal. It's not that the shops can't handle the work, they're just not set up for it, nor do they want to do the rust work. Look for a body man by talking to folks like us in your local area who have had this type of work done on their car. There's a guy out there, you just have to find him. Keeping talking to guys with cars. Sorry again I couldn't help more than that.
