Hey guy's,

I was hoping to put my body back on tomorrow but I ran into an issue when getting my new energy suspension parts out. The energy ones did not come with sleeves and the old sleeves are good but do not fit! I checked with summit, PSC, and I have the right kit but according to the directions the six main mounts are all the same. this is not true according to the factory assembly manual. the two in the front(firewall) are the same and the other four are differnet. My sleeves are to big in diameter for four of the bushings. The factory part# on the originals matched the assembly manual. this is for a 70 Chevelle sport coupe. They say thease are the right parts but they don't match.

Has anyone else experienced this?

PLEASE, do yourself a favor and return them. They are misdesigned junk as far as I am concerned. I went through the same BS and ended up ordering an original rubber set from OPG when I convinced myself that they would not, no way, no how, fit on my '70.

Frame-off Resto, presently being painted, NOT stock but looks it!

I have run into this on one car I installed them on. I went to a hardware store and bought a cylindrical "wood rasp" bit for a drill, installed it in my air powered die grinder, and hogged out the holes in the bushings to match the sleeves. It only took @ 10 seconds to do each one. Everything worked out fine.

Thanks for the input guy's, atleast i'm not alone. I still want to use polly because everything else is but i don't like the rasp idea because the O.D. is also smaller than the originals. I'd rather use the another part.

Thanks much for the input, i feel much better now. I heard energy is no making thease parts with the sleeves. maybe i can trade.
