: quality core support

I just recieved a new radiator core support for my 67 Chevelle. It came from Sherman's. It is 10 1/2 lbs. compared to 14 lbs. for the original. Obviously the metal isn't the same thickness as the original. (even thought I asked that question when ordering) It is pretty flimsy feeling and I'm not happy with it. Does any one know where to find this type of part with the same quality as the original?
Thanks
Brian

Keep checking swap meets and the for sale forum. I had bought a repop for my 66 and was not happy at all with it either. I sold it when I ran across a good used one. Definately thinner

Check the for sale section here, people come up with these all the time. I think there might be a difference between the A/C and non A/C core supports though, something to look into. You'd be a lot happier with a repainted original, plus you'd be assured of having your fenders line up right.
