Just looking for some open feed back on this topic.

I have done this because I was getting sick of rebuilding my stock carrier every year. My friend bought an auburn gear carrier for his grand and it exploded. So now we both run spools.
Thanks for your knowledge

U ran a spool in a street car for a while.....kept breaking axels. What are you running for a rear end? 10 bolt? I ran over 600hp through a stock GM 12 bolt eaton & never broke one (or anymore axels).

Yes 12 bolt moser spool and axles.
I'm probably around the 600HP mark with just engine plus I'm running a fogger. So 900 HP with a 300HP shot of spray. My friend who blew apart the Alburn gear posi is running a 10 bolt and a 650+ turbo v6 it propels his 3600lbs car to low 10's

I'm running a Strange spool in a 9 in ford (Currie) rear end. I have 31 spline axles and use BFG Gforce Tires... I notice a little rear end hop on slow speed turns, but other than that I like the immediate traction. Previously I used a Detroit Tru Trac... which was great, but now that I have a trans brake transmission Currie suggested I change to a Locker or a Spool.
