what year el camino disc brakes fit a 71 chevelle? with the master cylinder should i take the metering block off of the el camino also? what else would i need to convert from drum to disc (front)?

68-72 El Camino discs are a direct bolt on, but other years can be made to fit also (73-77). Check out the Tech Reference sections #2 and #3 on this site for more info.

Keep in mind that 68's came with 4 piston calipers and two piece rotors. I don't think that there were any single piston calipers for that year. Probably can use the backing shields and knuckles, but don't know about the caliper brackets and proportioning valve. Anyone know about the caliper brackets and valve? Any other input?
