Karl,
the M/C is shot.
easier to just replace it.
some guys send them out for rebuild w/ stainless sleeve in the bore.
if enough brake fluid gets in the booster, it will ruin the booster, also.
i took my booster off and drained the fluid that was in it but it was too late.

Just went through the same thing on my 69. Advance Auto sells a new Bendix for just under $60. There should be a gasket that goes between the cyl & booster that was not included & also a boot that fits over the end of the cyl that should keep fluid from getting into the booster & should keep crud out of the end of the cyl. Mine had neither which probably caused the failure. There was rust & dirt in there. They didn't have the boot either as a seperate item.

Sometimes there's a a boot, sometimes there isn't. I have seen it both ways. One thing is for sure though: If you have fluid leaking out, your m/c is toast. Sealing it wouldn't solve the problem, it would only make the fluid go somewhere else (i.e.: into the booster).
