I am restoring a 68 Chevelle and when I was taking the body mounts out the nuts that are in the braces broke loose. I had to cut between the bushing and body. What is the best way to reset the nuts sand remove the remaining part of the bolt. Anything will help. Thanks
Mike

Had the same problem on my 72 El Camino at the rear end. We sawed the bolts with a sawzall to seperate the frame from the body then took a hole saw to the body on the side of the boxed area then drilled out the spot welds holding the nut in place and pulled the nut, cage, and bolt out through the hole. I heated the bolt to remove it from the nut then used it over again when we reassembled the frame to the body. I left the opening and could weld a cover over the hole so no one would know it happened.
