How can you tell what lb presure cap is needed for your cooking system. I will be running 560 Hp and it looks like I will be sending bach a new BeCool for an alumitec rad with a few fans. My sb that I pulled out of this car had a cap with a 15 lb presure setting. Any help would be appriciated, Also,
dose the pressure from the cap change the boiling temp of the water...Thanks you guys

For your cooking system, as high a pressure as the system can hold. Cap pressure does set boiling point for pure water. Antifreeze and water mixtures depend on mix ratio as well. Can use up to a 30 lb cap with a good radiator and hoses.

A14 lbs cap is fine
boiling point for water 211 degrees ... for every 1 lbs of cap will incress boiling point 6 degrees ...example no cap 211 degrees 14 lbs add 84 = 284 boiling water

as a member poster antifreze mixture will chang that a bit .
