I have a 71 chevelle that i want to convert from drum to disc. What vehicles spindles will i need to look for? I also have heard that there is a way to convert my drum spindles to work with disc set up. Any answers. Thanks.

You can buy the spindles, and all the other parts, new from Ground Up etc. I found two good used ones on E-bay but probably paid more than the new ones, but I wanted GM parts. I have been told that you can machine the drum brake spindles to make them work, I was planning to compare my old ones to the new ones when I do the swap. I think all you have to do is machine the pad where the big backing plate bolt goes.
