The fifties style chain Sonic Drive-in Opens in Ephrata, PA today on Rt 272. It would be cool to see some fellow Chevelle hot rodders stop by, maybe have a meeting date.

I would check it out. We do not have any Sonic's in the Harrisburg Area.

I have to laugh at this one. We have no Sonic around here either, but we kept seeing the ads on TV. Finally last May we went to a wedding down in the LA area, and decided one afternoon to look for a Sonic. After getting lost in Buena Park we finally found the one in Anaheim. Yeh, the idea is good, but the food wasn't worth the trouble. I can see how it would be cool to have a bunch of classic rides at one though. We have a place here called Burgermaster with car hops just a few blocks from my shop.

Just so happens we stopped by the local Sonic tonight...temps in the uppper 60's. :)
One of my favorite activities during the summer is to stop in for a Root Beer float after attending a Saturday night cruise. :cool:
Usually end up getting 6 or 7 cars to help "terrorize" the joint.

Sounds like a blast Bill. Hoping we can get something like that up here in this area. As someone above stated, once the salt is off the road maybe we can coordinate a get together. (us PA, Reading, Harrisburg guys)

Burgermaster RULES! there is one just a few blocks from where I live- friday and saturday nights in the summertime the place is crawling with classic cars.

My car goes in the paint shop on Monday and should be there for about a month (hopefully) I'll shoot you a PM with my email so we can keep in touch and coordinate some cruises this summer.

There is other info on the Hot Rod website just click on the power tour link. It costs $65.00 to join the tour no mater when it is when you join it. I don't know what it costs to just take your car for the day.

Sorry Rick that is the same day June 17th as my daughters wedding. Sounds like a good time to meet with the stuff they have going on in Ephrate but I will not be able to make this one. If you guys meet again later this summer let me know. Take care.

A good time was had by all. In fact the 2nd annual Ephrata Car Cruise was going on, so we hung out there for a while and then we cruised down to the Sonic. I think we had about 5 cars, 4 Chevelles and 1 Carmaro.

Definitely like to do this again. I'll make some noise about it and see if we can get something going again.
