My question is , are the nib files for removing runs in paint worth the money?
I just finished painting my car and i have a couple of runs. Normally this isn't a big deal and i just wet sand them out and buff. But iam wondering if they really speed the process of removing the runs? Thank's in advance for any help or suggestions and it is greatly appreciated. Mike

They do help. The problem when you get runs and try to sand them out with a sanding block, is it always sands everything around it down too. The nib files help because they allow you to just sand down the run. Take it slow when you do it. Have a bucket of water next to you so you can splash some water on the run to make sure you haven't sanded to much. Good Luck!

The run razors work excellent if you dial them in a bit at a time. Nib files I use to use were really slow so I made my own with a small chunk of aluminum and a peice of 400 wrapped tightly around it. Radius the edges so a small slip don't eat something you don't want to. I haven't had runs in yrs but this works great for small dust in paint also.
