Hi TEAM CHEVELLE!
I have a quick question about my 73 Nova race car project. I need to put a rear firewall and package tray from either aluminum or steel. The NHRA rules at my track are the rear firewall/package tray must be at least .024" (24 gauge) Steel or .032" (21 Gauge) Aluminum. I already have a sheet of thick 16 gauge but it weighs a ton. How much weight difference is between the 16 gauge steel, 24 gauge steel, and 21 Gauge Aluminum from a peice of sheet that covers the rear firewall and package tray? And how much more expensive is it going to be if I go with aluminum?
Thanks alot Team!
