There is a shop around the corner from me with a new H2 in the driveway that has a huge sticker on the side of it called "smokedlamps.com" or some such thing. It is located right off the 405 at Manchester Ave. I can dig up the exact name and number if you're intersted.

Mix some black basecoat and thin it more than directions require. Then clear them. It's that simple. If you want to check the darkness hold a flashlight from the inside and check.
This worked great on a s-10 I built years ago. And the great thing is you don't have to worry about somebody walking up and just clipping tinted covers off and walking away.

All paints are transparent with the first 1 or 2 coats provided they're thinned enough.
The clear I'm referring to is a base coat clear coat system. The clear going over the basecoat to create the gloss.
