I'm talking about the panel that connects the rear of the quarters at the top and forms the rear top edge of the trunk. This is roughly under the key lock and holds the rear of the weatherstrip. Far as I know the re poppers aren't making it and every car I find is rusty there.

I am doing that on my car now.You need to get it from another car.Its a lot of work to change the whole panel edge to edge because it is welded to the trunk floor and backs of both quarters and the body mounts sit under it.If the rust is confined to a small area you may be able to section in a small peice.mine was totally wasted.Looking back i wish i would have bought a clean body shell and went from there.

My car was just bumped and bruised a lot in both quarters and I bought NOS ones from GM years ago and put em up. I figured it'd be a fairly easy replacement with both quarters needing replacement. Strangely there's almost no rust in this car except for this piece and around the back window. There's one piece in the lowere right cowl behind the lower front fender, but all floors, etc are rock solid. Every Chevelle I look at around here has the piece I'm talking about rusted out. Goodmark industries told me several months ago that they've sent one to their offshore supplier to see about the feasability of repopping it.
