Dropped rear end out of my 66 to change control arm bushings and would like yo paint er up . What kind of precautions should be taken if any before sandblasting it? Obviously there are the brakes and lines, and the upper control arm bushings I`m leaving in until done. Anything else?

I duct taped the vent on mine when I did it.

You must be very carefull when doing this. Sand blasting can damage the seals, and if the sand gets inside you know what will happen. I remove the vent and plug the hole. You will need to remove the brake lines so that they don't get thinner from the sand blasting. If you can get it soda blasted it would be much better.
