I am redoing an old distributor that I bought and I'm wondering if that's special lube that goes on the shaft inside it. If so, where can I get some??

Also, is 9H13 (August)an acceptable date code for an engine built on November 17, 1969? Thanks!

Shawn,
This is a 3mo lead time on the dist, but it is realistically possible. I'd use it in a heartbeat.

I'm glad to hear that.
Well, I just got the distributor back together and lubed it with grease in the shaft (the same grase you put in tie rod ends; the black stuff). Is this ok? I'll be converting the distributor over to the Pertronix system but the grease won't screw up my engine, will it?? Thanks!
