Looking for tips/success stories about painting plastic/vinyl interior parts. I did it one time a few years back with limited success. The problem appeared to be that the parts were deteriorating. Had that white chalky stuff on the surface. I scrubbed it off, used a "pre-paint" vinyl cleaner according to specs. The parts looked pretty good, all signs of chalky stuff gone. Painted in a good, dry booth and still got poor adhesion. Anyone with tips/ advice, please chime in.

I've always had great results by cleaning everything with castrols super clean, followed by SEM's vinyl prep, and then finish off with SEM vinyl dye. Be sure to rinse the cleaner and prep real well. This has worked on both vinyl and the plastic parts (seat backs and dash).
