The new Summit catalog shows a set of chrome B.B. valve covers made by TD Performance. They have correct wire loom brackets, 3 holes per stock, baffles and are triple plated. Only $69.00. I’ve been wanting a set, but haven’t wanted to cough up the $100.00 all the restoration catalogs are asking. Anybody seen a set of these in person to know if they’re any good?
Thanks,
paul

J.c. Whitney sells big block chrome valve covers for $29.95, yes the original style.
I used the TD ones from Summit for ahwile. Never had a problem with them. I did use the larger gaskets that have a steel core in them though. The first pair(rubber) leaked a little in the back.

If you're looking for chrome valve covers, they're an excellent deal. Put a good coat of wax on them before you install them, and every so often and they'll last a good long time. They are not correct for a Concours resto, but for the price they can't be beat.
The TD stands for "Trans-Dapt", and like the ad says, they have the loom holders and holes as needed. I never had any leaks with mine.
