I recently posted this but never got an adequate response:
I just got some replacement bushings from muscle factory. All fourteen (convertible) bushings turned out to be the "special" kind, like are under the door. These have a counterbore in the insert to fit over the caged nut which sticks down through the body at the bushing location under the door.
The original GM bushings had the counterbore only at this one location, The rest had no counterbore.
While the bushings I have should work, I am wondering if the "one size fits all" is a sign of low quality or typical of all aftermarket bushings?
Should I try to return them and look elsewhere or just keep what I have?
Also, If they ARE low quality, who makes good quality bushings?
Thanks,
