: alum plug stuck in H2O pump

I am trying to remove an alum plug from an alum water pump. The previous car did not have a heater so I plugged it. It is flush and has a 3/8" allen head socket. I have tried WD40, tapping with a hammer, and tightening slightly. The thing will not budge and is trying to round out the socket.
Thanks

If you didnt use anti sieze when you installed it, I bet it is a permanent fixture and will not be able to be removed without drilling it out. This is one problem when working with aluminum components.
