Hey guys,

I purchased a 1972 Chevelle, and it is in need of a exhaust system, so I purchased a header back exhaust by flow master from summit $309.00,
after it was recommended by a couple of guys on the forum.
I will be putting it on during the weekend, and I will let you know how it turns out.

P.S. Any tricks of the trade or just basic bolt off the old and bolt on the new

The Green one is Mine, The Red one was sold the same day.

Nice car. :)

Get a buddy to help you install it, an extra pair of hands will make it easier. You'll need a few special tools...I used a pipe cutter and a pipe expander (don't use a cheap expander, the pipes are really tough) I had to trim the pipes that attatched to the headers, because they are "universal" to fit anybody's headers. I also had to expand them to slip over the collecters. If you can't get the old pipes off you existing collectors, you might just be better off getting new ones. I also trimmed the tail pipes so they didn't stick out so far.

Once it was all fit up and mounted with the clamps, I took it to the muffler shop to have it welded up tight. All in all, it wasn't too hard of a job. But a little more than just bolting things together. Good luck! :)
